"Heart of it All" Flag
We first made our “Heart of It All” flag at the start of the pandemic when a customer requested one to fly in support of his wife, an E.R. Doctor. The idea took off raising more than $15,000 going to local restaurants that were making delicious food for frontline workers.
But not before getting the blessing of a certain dear friend and local legend, Kevin Farham. Knowing that I knew my way around a sewing machine, Kevin called up and asked if I could keep a secret, and 20 minutes later he showed up with an enormous heart banner needing a little sprucing up.
We lost Kevin in this world in April 2023, but his spirit, selflessness, and kindness live on in the “hearts” he spread around Portland on the eve of every Valentine’s Day.
